Kayla & Jonathan met in 2021 when they were both 20 years old, after connecting online through Facebook. Jonathan, originally from Brockton, Massachusetts, and Kayla, from Rhode Island, quickly discovered that distance didn’t matter when the connection was real. From the very first moment they met in person, they knew something special had begun—and from that day on, they’ve been inseparable. Coming from Haitian and Cape Verdean backgrounds, their love has been rooted in faith, family, and shared values that have only grown stronger over time.

In 2025, they both took an important step in their faith by getting baptized, each in their own time, further strengthening the foundation of our relationship. Just before Christmas that same year, Jonathan planned the most beautiful surprise—proposing the day before Christmas Eve, surrounded by their entire family. It was emotional, overwhelming, and filled with so much love. We are so grateful for the journey that brought us here and excited to begin this next chapter together. 💍💗
